a picture a day

I have been feeling sad that life is marching by for my children and I'm not doing a good job of documenting their childhood.  I often forget my camera.  I have files of digital pictures that were taken in the past and I have done nothing with them.  And my journaling efforts are few and far between.

At a Relief Society class on journaling, I heard an idea that seemed like something I could do to turn around this unfortunate trend that I've started.  It's called 'a picture a day' and it's simple.  Just take one photo each day and document that moment.

I cherish my family.  Photography and writing are not skills that that come naturally for me.  But I am committed to developing these skills and being ok with my best efforts (even if my photos aren't as artistic as I'd like and my words aren't as poetic as I'd like...) so that we as a family have a record of these amazing years while my children are in our home.  Oh, these precious years...
